WONDER, Seaham Harbour Co., 169gt,

1921 REMORQUEUR NO 5 - 19?? BACALAN (1921 completed as BACALAN, per John Proud 150 YEARS OF THE MALTESE CROSS) - 1935 WONDER - 11-1964 Broken up by Clayton & Davie Ltd, Dunston
See: http://www.tynetugs.co.uk/remorqueurno51921.html

RELIANT (5292658), Seaham Harbour Co., 156gt,
completed J.T.Eltringham & Co, South Shields, 10-1907

Nice bow shot by Albert Weller of the WONDER at Seaham:

And the RELIANT enlarges quite well from another of his negatives:

In the full view from the same negative part of the WONDER shows extreme left, but it is that tug in the middle that is bugging me! I can't find her identity because all other Seaham Harbour Co. tugs I have so far found mentioned (on the internet, by John Proud, ABC booklets, etc.) are paddle tugs, which she isn't. Maybe I will find her by closer checking Tyne Tugs or John's book, but I'm hoping a Forumite can save me that bother! (Not the CHIPCHASE, which was bigger and did not arrive at Seaham until around 1967.)

Looks like the CONSERVATOR, built by Cochrane & Sons in 1925 for the Kings Lynn Conservancy Board. She came up to Seaham in 1962 and met her end at Dunston in 1973.

Doesn't seem to have been one of the most photographed tugs, so thanks for this info.

Just seeing if I now reply before the previous messages were sent! I've gone into (my own?) user control panel/board preferences and said no to BST!

Which seems to have changes all the timings on this page!!!!

Does that change things for the whole NEM site, or just pages I've started or been on????
