Passing Lloyds Hailing Station at North Shields TAKIS is still carrying the funnel markings of Constants (South Wales) Ltd. following her recent (1967) sale to new owners.
Built in 1951 as BELTINGE she was one of a trio of steamships completed at Grays 1951/52 for Constants, the other two being GARLINGE and HAWKINGE.
