When I posted this view on TEESSHIPS in 2006 I commented: Must admit I presumed from her name she would be owned by one of the Ellerman companies but, no! Managers were John Bruce & Co. (Shipping) Ltd., so must assume she had been built for Mossgiel but always on long-term charter to Ellerman?
At that time I did not have the benefit of reference to either Miramar nor Teesbuilt.
We find from http://www.teesbuiltships.co.uk/gray/crosbian1947.htm that she had, indeed, originally been in Ellerman ownership.
