EMPIRE DARWIN - CAM SHIP

Basic details are at: http://www.teesbuiltships.co.uk/gray/em ... in1941.htm

A lot of detail covering her convoy duties as a CAM ship are given in Wikipedia, which I assume to be correct.
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Empire_Darwin

I have eventually found a larger copy of the small image on that page at:
http://www.ww2incolor.com/forum/showthr ... quot/page2
(about one-third down page)

I have received an enquiry from a chap in Hartlepool who is hoping to construct a model of her as built.
His query is whether Gray's would complete her in the camouflage design shown.
From the details given in Wikipedia: ... Empire Darwin arrived at Middlesbrough, ... on 19 July 1941. Three days later, she joined Convoy EC 48 ... I assume this would be the case.

However, can any Forumite confirm it was normal for CAM ships to be completed in their designated camouflage colours?
