HEORTNESSE of 1959

The Hartlepool dredger of our younger days, still in service in Greece. Built in 1959 by Lobnitz at Renfrew.

in 1974 she went to Greek owners and became ARGODIGGER, seen here at Suda, Crete in September 1997, photo by Yvon Perchoc

In 2003 she was rebuilt with her bridge aft, and became CHRYSSI AMMOS still based in Crete
seen here in July 2006 at Heraklion, photo by Nektarios Papadakis

and in 2006 she was renamed SKYRON (SKIRON in Equasis) and is seen here leaving Heraklion under tow for Piraeus in November 2006, she is listed in Equasis as still in service with Piraeus owners

Just checked and she is still listed in service as SKIRON.
