I hadn't realised that the tugs were split in this way, as well as the towns! A nice memento of their history.

I think it was done to keep the POR's alive as much as for anything else.

Originally there were Four Twin Screw Tugs built by P K Harris and Son's Ltd for the British Transport Docks Board in 1958/59.

Hart; Seaton; Stranton and Throston.

Certainly the first three were registered in WEST HARTLEPOOL and I assume Throston was as well. My nearest Register to 58/59 is 1963 and THROSTON is not listed.

So Hart had her registry Changed at some point.

THROSTON was an early sale, in 1961 when she went to Pakistan as TAQATWAR.
