I thought that she was in need of new paint, but it looks as though she has plenty of new paint - in drips from the deck red and the accommodation white. Sloppy painting. From an ex deck cadet who did his fair share of painting.

DUMLUPINAR being completed at the Dearsan Shipyard Tuzla on 9/10/2008, along with the smaller tanker AYLA, completed in 2009.

I remember thinking where on earth did they find such a DUM name for a ship? I was so curious, I had to look it up! Good old Wikipedia: The Battle of Dumlupınar was the last battle in the Greco-Turkish War. The battle was fought from 26 to 30 August 1922 near Dumlupınar, Kütahya in Turkey.
