Built Tamano, Japan in 1979 as the TIPPERARY but launched as the PUMA.

6,310 Gross. 5,024 Dwt. 19.5 knots.

Subsequent History:

[L as PUMA] - 89 NORCAPE

Disposal Data:

wrecked 27.11.11 & BU Aliaga, beached 28.12.11

Probably got lost.
If you read the report of her grounding, she was not the best ship in the world to point in the right direction, backwards or forwards. She was twin screw but her twin rudders were offset, instead of being inline, which gave her some interesting habits which took some getting used to.
