60 YEARS AGO TODAY - Other first day photos!!

On 15 April 1961 I recorded 15 ships in and around Middlesbrough Dock and Tyne-Tees/Dent's wharves.
After recording the KAMBODIA and ANDALUSIAN I had a not very successful attempt at capturing the RICHMOND CASTLE:

My first stab at recording the SLOBODA at T-T/Dent's is already at: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=3628 and then I tried to find the YORKSHIRE COAST! The full image from a contact print:

and, for what it is worth, a new scan from the 9x6 cm nagative:

My notebook tells me that the ship ahead of her was the CONSUELO

So endeth day 1!

My 'first sightings' for the day were PASS OF DALVEEN and the gas-turbine powered GOODWOOD ... not sure as to berths!

Yes, George, I noted GOODWOOD that day, but not the PASS OF DALVEEN.

Tyne-Tees/Dent's wharves: CONSUELO, YORKSHIRE COAST, SUFFOLK COAST,GOODWOOD, NOVIAN COAST, WAYNEGATE, SLOBODA.

What a fine (but typical) mix on the riverside wharves. I recall that the Turnbull Scotts were often round the corner at Gjers Mills, I wonder if they had to lighten on Dent's on the way up.
