Built in 1971 by Swan Hunter Ltd. at the former Furness Shipbuilding yard at Haverton Hill for Furness, Withy and Co, Ltfd., London. 1977: Sold to Utah Transport Inc., Liberia and renamed LAKE ARROWHEAD. 1982: Sold to Marcona Carriers Ltd., Liberia and renamed MARCONA PATHFINDER. 1983: Sold to Paramount Transport Inc., Liberia and renamed WORLD PATHFINDER. 1986: Sold to Nerice Maritime Co. Ltd., Cyprus and renamed OCEAN SOVEREIGN. 26.3.1992: Arrived at Huangpu (China) to be broken up.

I was not on this particular visit. The only face I recognise is that of the little chap stooping centre right who was Sid Norris, secretary of the then newly formed Teesside Branch of the World Ship Society. Sid worked at Tyne-Tees/Dent's and I still meet him shopping in Middlesbrough .... age 90+
