GOIL ex REGENT LINNET

GOIL ex REGENT LINNET

Arising from a discussion elsewhere, does anyone remember the former REGENT LINNET (Yarwood, 1951) being on the Tees for bunkering as GOIL, she had been at Hull with Dave Cook and it seems came back from Tees to John Dean, converted as a barge/hopper and eventually scrapped at Newark it seems.

Sounded a bit odd to me, maybe mixed up with some other craft, will enquire further.

Goil was a work in progress vessel to deal with oil slicks on the river tees.
She was bought by David Holmes one of the the partners of Marine Partners (Trading as cherry marine) Cargo Fleet and used after as a bunkering vessel for a short period.
