On 28 July 1973 the three pilot cutters lined up abreast in Middlesbrough Dock were the A.G. MURRELL, W.R. LISTER (both normally in service at Hartlepool) and the W.W. CONSTANTINE (39gt, completed 10.1956). In the background is the MARMARIS I.

This next shot shows the ALDERMAN B.O. DAVIES (42gt, completed 7.1955), with the W.R. LISTER inside.

The view was taken on 9 May 1973 when I also took a colour picture - although the resultant scan is not brilliant!
This time the background ship was the MUGLA.

This one from the Albert Weller collection.
Framed in Middlesbrough Dock, two pilot cutters.
W.W. CONSTANTINE, 39gt, completed 10-1956
ALDERMAN B.O. DAVIES, 42gt, completed 7-1955. She was retained as spare cutter by Tees and Hartlepool Port Authority Ltd. for quite some time. Anyone know her fate?

Curious about the white one in the left of the picture, is it not the Russian Research Vessel that was supposed to be monitoring Nuclear Power Stations outfalls for any radioactivity 'allegedly' and had been stood off Seaton Carew just as a large NATO Exercise was going on at Catterick and the Ranges further North. She declared an emergency (engine problems) and had to come into the Tees? Possibly call the Admiral ?
