Seen this come across from Harlepool. Jade M towing the old tug SANDEX formerly SILVERDIAl.
She entered the Tees and was last seen headed down river passing Redcar Ore Ore Terminal
I hope she has gone for restoration and not scrap, but no one seems to know where she now is

This is a comment I posted on another site in January 2003

"SANDTEX as she is today berthed in Hartlepool. She has been under long term restructuring and at one stage also had a crane on her after deck. I did hear now that she will be used for fishing trips. If she ever gets back into use. She has been in Hartlepool since 1988 and I don't think she has been used in all that time"

Vague memory of some mention, somewhere, that she was in Furness basin for demolition??? ..... but don't rely on my memory (I don't)!

Mick reported on the SCOTTISH KING at Haverton Hill (viewtopic.php?f=43&t=4050) but nobody has yet found out about the SANDTEX.

EDIT Ah thanks Ron, getting muddled up as usual.
