Hi Graham,

What's the source of the coal - is it from the Opencast near Northumberlandia?
Regards, Dennis.

Yes Dennis that is the most likely source.
When the port handled the first coal shipment their website had the ship arriving from Shotton, googled it and thought it was from Shotton in Wales.
However a little later on it was either in the Journal or a press release on the port's website saying the coal had come from Shotton- which as Shotton Colliery is further over from Northumberlandia but guess you could include the seams from the opencast strateching thruogh to there!

Graham

That's the problem with the Port Website. It list's the Cargo, BUT you don't know, unless you see the ship working, if its coming in or going out!
