Blyth shipping past and present

Nuri Sonay

Postby creemaster » Thu Jun 11, 2020 4:03 pm

Newly arrived from Tarragona with salt yesterday is NURI SONAY, Turkish owned, Panamanian flagged and built in 2006
And not bad looking either. And for Mr Hood she was inspected at Agadir in March and found to have 1 deficiency- her fire doors/openings were 'not as required'
But did not warrant detaining.
She was the first of three ships built in Turkey and launched by Nuri Sanay who at the time, was Chairman of Board of Maritime Affairs

Graham

Looks like this will be the last picture taken from the north face as the area has now been fenced off completely to the public
Looks like a long walk down to 'Monkey's Island' from now on
