Graham Atkinson has just come across this fine view of a real veteran at Whitby, believed around 1960, and indeed I know I saw her there around that time and think she was engaged on pier repair work for the contractor Yorkshire Hennebique.
I know I have another photo somewhere but as usual can't find it ...

Graham's note
It was taken at Whitby between 1959-61 and shows LIZZIE & ANNIE completed 6/1877 by J. Softley & Co., North Shields for T.H.Williams & Co., Liverpool. 99grt 66net 150dwt
90.1 x 19.1 x 8.9 feet and originally steam until 1905 then a Plenty diesel engine and later re-measured at 119g and 65 net
1932 and 1936 she had new engines and in January 1962 she was sold to Earnbank Sand & Gravel, Perth and converted to a sand dredger. Broken up at Inverkeithing and arrived there September 1969

I also remember her in Whitby on frequent Sunday afternoon visits to the town with my parents.

Here's a cutting from the Evening Gazette. I didn't note the date but it would be 1959 or 1960.

I've done my best to revise her history on TBS, using the data & photos from George, Graham and Mike.

Still one or two gaps, so if anyone can add or correct, please do.
