Difficult to say N.E. without any form of positive identification, if there had been a name shown her history could have been traced via Lloyds List etc. Most if not all of the Thornycroft type were disposed of after the War and sold by R.N. Disposals who handled the sale of R.A.F. Craft via magazines like Motor Boat & Yachting in which I remember them being listed. The more affluent Southeners could afford most of them as liveaboards, in this area it was ex Ships Lifeboats moored up Greatham Creek with Cabins built on them, the Landing Stage Posts are still there but the walkways and outside netties are long gone instead of being "Steel River" it is now "Seal River"
