New cranes

Spotted from Paull, looks like the old container cranes in Queen Elizabeth dock are in line for replacing, these two more modern ones are being constructed just East of the terminal.

Heard on the radio that ABP have taken back direct control of the Terminal, it was licenced out to Humberside Sea & Land from 1990.
The original Clark Chapman crane dates from around 1971 I think, the first Paceco was second-hand from Newport and the second Paceco was from Southampton, both in mid/late 1970's so they have all had a long life.

Was on Look North tonight - £10m investment. They are hoping for more cargo from Japan/China :)

It was also quoted that Hull has services from Rotterdam, Tilbury and Felixstowe - strangely the latter two services run in to Immingham, not Hull.... :roll:
