Fellow Forumites,

I hope you have enjoyed re-living with me my second visit to Hull 50 years ago today!?

Just to show how much things have changed, on that day I recorded 104 ship sightings, all at Hull except for the new ORMESBY CROSS on the stocks at Hessle as I passed by on the train. You have seen most of the 95 photos I took that day, covering 74 different ships. Don't think I could manage that sort of volume anywhere in the UK nowadays!?

A few days later I set off for my second holiday on Merseyside ... so I'm fairly sure I will find some more photos to show you in the series 50 YEARS AGO TODAY!

Grand day out Ron - I was only 2 at the time! And even if the docks were that busy you wouldn't have the access nowadays...
