Despite all the Press reporting that Ms Krankie has made a mess of the inter island shipping your new site is proving Ferry interesting Patrick, was the Gemini Explorer moored at Hartlepool at one time? Only one of two of this Class of Lifeboat built I believe.
Like yourself Aberdeen was my second home at one time as my wife hails from there, it was always interesting to watch the old style Ferry having Cars and Cattle being slung aboard and then later on watching the “Spray” making her way out of the Harbour with her Funnel belching smoke (pre Smoke Chart days). No worries about running out of Coal just broach the Cargo.

And then on to the Northern Islands Power Stations.
