Most recent view of PRIMROSE, 23/11/2012, as Simon comments she is looking completely uncared for now. 107 years old but not much evidence of her age to be seen!
1906, 52gt
Built by R. Cock, Appledore under this name, converted from steam in 1960
Sold out of the John Dean fleet early in 2009.

I undertand from Mike Patterson on TugTalk that PRIMROSE is now at New Holland awaiting her fate.

This is the only photo that I managed to get of her underway, and looking quite smart too.

and this is a photo of her when new in 1906. This photo was posted on TugTalk by Capt Stephen Carter who owns Laxey Towing on the Isle of Man. Stephen owned the PRIMROSE between 1985 and 1989.

Pity to lose this old girl at age 108, but she has clearly become of no further use, and the alterations over the years would make her a poor object for conservation.
