1985 NIMBLE - 08 SD NIMBLE

Just possible to record her up the far end of the East Float in Birkenhead on 25 July 2012:

One of her Hessle-built sister vessels (SD FORCEFUL, SD POWERFUL, or SD FAITHFUL) lies inside her but it was impossible to obtain any view of her!

Two, 6-cyl. 4 S.C.S.A. (254 x 305mm) 6RKCM type by Ruston Diesels Ltd., Newton-le-Willows, geared to twin Voith-Schneider type multi-directional propellers. 2,640 bhp. 30¾ tons bollard pull. 10 kts.
21.3.1985: Launched by Richard Dunston (Hessle) Ltd., Hessle upon Humber (Yard No. 945) for the Government of the United Kingdom (Royal Maritime Auxiliary Service), London.
6.1985: Completed.
1996: Serco-Denholm Ltd., appointed as managers.
5.1999: Chartered by Cory Towage Ltd, for a major operation on the Clyde.
2003: Serco Ltd, appointed as managers.
14.12.2007: Sold to SD Marine Services Ltd.
4.2008: Renamed SD NIMBLE. (O.N. 913811)
26.7.2012: Sold to West Africa Oil & Marine Ltd, Douglas, Isle of Man. And reverted to NIMBLE.
4.2017: Still in SeaWeb, as in service, but without any additional detail.
