INGUNN - IMO 9195896

Postby guilford378 » Wed Jun 27, 2012 6:58 pm

Today, at South Dock Basin was Ingunn. She has a DWT of 5004t, which must make her one of the largest ships to visit Goole in the last two or three years. She was discharging what looked like dark brown pellets and she had arrived [via Hull] from Motril, Spain. I wonder if anyone knows what the pellets are of?

I wonder if being from Spain it's the 'biomass' fuel for Drax.

Thanks Malc, now I remember it's the waste pressings from the extraction of olive oil, apparently it burns well and the Spanish just can't burn all of it themselves (too warm anyway!).
