Ortolan 1970

Looking very lonely. This was the last ship I photographed in Goole. I have not been back since.
I think I saw the docks at their best with the shipyard in go and the freedom to wander about.
There was always something going on with the the coal trade and the associated coaling gear and the Tom Puddings.

Nice one to finish on, Michael. She's on the 'Boulogne berth' originating from when the service was run by Bennett, eventually taken over by General Steam.
Most of the viewpoints for your photos are still available due to the roads and public paths through the port estate.
No coal though!
