Most probably from the Harbour Commission.
My late father in law was Commercial Manger there until 1995 and he got me to index the photographic collection which in the main were in great big proper photo albums and dated from the 1920s. Included pictures of the harbour, ships, Commissioner's head office and some staff.
I have copies of some of them.
Needless to say after he retired I was after some pictures of Hudson ships which I knew they had and these could not be found

Could well be Graham. The only two Hudson boats were the Cape & River which I posted on here some time ago.

Gordon Smith also put together a Disc of Blyth Photographs, which is what I suspect you have, Dave.
Again he got most of his from BHC Albums.

It was te HUDSON DEEP laoding at Bates I was after.
These were the trials that led to the building of DALEWOOD CHELWOOD CORCESTER PULBOROUGH ROGATE and HUDSON LIGHT
