Biomass for Drax

Seems like Liverpool has upstaged Immingham and Hull for this 'local' cargo!

"£100M PORT OF LIVERPOOL BIOMASS HANDLING FACILITY ENTERS SERVICE
The first shipments from the new £100m biomass handling facility at the Port of Liverpool have started. The port will handle up to 3m tonnes of wood pellets a year imported from North America, which will be taken by train every day to the Drax power station in Yorkshire to power the plant.
The facility has created almost 50 jobs at the Seaforth Container Terminal, with a further 300 as part of the supply chain. Andy Koss, CEO of Drax Power, said that Peel had done “a cracking job” to get the biomass terminal up and running and that if the Government approved proposals for a fourth generator at Drax to be converted to biomass fuels, there would be further work for the Port. Isn't this cargo currently handled by the Tyne?

I guess everyone is having a go at it, both Imm and Hull have built silos with rail connection to handle the stuff.
