Fine little coble, sad to lose her.
She appears to have an Australian flag and carrier no fishing registration marks, which I thought were obligatory. Must be a story behind that?

He has the Flag Superior right perhaps his wife is an Aussie? :D Do 'Hobby' Fishermen come under the regulations ? He may well work Shifts somewhere ashore like the Power Station ;)

Oddly enough, I was looking at a narrow boat yesterday at Keadby ... under New Zealand flag!

The present NZ Flag future looks terminal and could become a collectors item as there is a growing movement in NZ to get rid of it or I should say the Union Flag bit in the corner! The Fern Leaf appears to be a favourite which a friend of mine had painted on the side of his Stirling Bomber when he flew with 75sq.during the War!
Looking up the Fishing regulations it looks like the vessel in question should have had a number painted on her NE, although I am a bit puzzled why the Coastguard did not enforce it.
