50 YEARS AGO TODAY!
That was when I took the photo already reproduced above. Clearly I was at that time standing on the quayside around the point I would be boarding one of the Tyne ferries for a river cruise.

If this had been the first photo I took that day, then that would have been as expected! So, can someone now remind me, explain to me, how I had already taken the photos of STORMONT (viewtopic.php?f=43&t=9240) and CYPRIAN COAST (viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8119) seemingly on board a vessel mid-river and moving up-river passing the Tyne-Tees berths heading towards the bridges?

Not the best of pictures, but here's another of Ranger Apollo being towed into the river after (I think) engine failure in June 1966.
