Kevin Blair has sent me this very atmospheric shot entitled "The Tyne at Work"
Can't make out and names. No date given unfortunately (Kevin didn't record it for once).
I have lightened it up as much as I dare.

Wonderful view, is that the lower end of Newcastle Quay on the left?

Yes. the position may be clearer by comparing with this other photo: download/file.php?id=34850&mode=view

Points for comparison are the quayside shed with the curved roof next to the steamer at the bottom of the photo and just beyond the far end of this shed, the building on the left with 5 windows just below roof level and a single attic window let into the roof itself.
