RON
THAT MIGHT BE THE LAST TIME YOU CAN GET UP TO THE BERTH
PLANNING APPLICATION IN TO CLOSE OFF ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC. ACCESS TO BE THROUGH WIMBOURNE QUAY'S ENTRANCE ON REGENT STREET
AS THE HARBOUR WANT TO CONNECT FROM BATES THROUGH TO WIMBOURNE AROUND THE BACK OF THE PUMPING STAION
PART OF THE BUND IS BEING REMOVED TO BE REPLACED WITH A BRICK WALL
SO EITHER BRING YOUR CLIMBING GEAR TO WALK UP THE FAR END OR A SET OF LADDERS !

Yes, Paul told me of this situation when I saw him there a couple of months ago.
I noticed there was a notice attached to the nearby telegraph (old phrase!!) pole, but didn't bother reading it.
So, it seems things are about to happen. Do you actually know when?

Going off the notice I think it will be able to happen in the next few weeks, possibly end of November
I looked on line at the application and the work includes strengthening the foreshore wall, building a wall similar to the one around Regent Street and there needs to be a road come in from the area of the tank farm, round the back of the pumping station and in through the old entrance to Wimbourne Quay. Oh and somewhere in amongst all this is flood alleviation as well

Well we were a bit out on our calculations, but the only way now is to climb the bank.!! Or of course take them as they pass up or down River.

Well what do you think I have been doing for the past few weeks Paul??
Get yourself a walking pole to help you up, but watch how you come down as you put more stress on your ankle than going up and more
likely to do your sell an injury !

Yes but they are dumped on the beach at Cambois and North Blyth and once they have crossed the railway track leading to Alcan, swam over the river then they have to negotiate the wall and bund
Bit like Geordie Mexican North African Ninja really

And anyway I doubt if any of us could pass the new nationality test. How high is the London Eye anyway and how many sit on a jury in Scotland?
Never been on the London Eye or on trial in Scotland.
N them poor school kids in Thailand stuck in a cave for up to four months. Four Months- imagine the backlog of homework they will have to do !
