Built in the former Readhead Yard at South Shields with her sister AMRA. They were the first BI ships with Engines and Accommodation Aft. Her hatches were extra wide and long, and served by Four Deck Cranes and a 300 ton Stulcken Mast Amidships. The ASKA was delivered to British India on the 21st May 1970 and was transferred to P&O ownership on the 19th April 1973 and renamed STRATHCARROL. On the 16th February 1979 P&O sold her and she was eventually broken up at Ulsan commencing April 1985 after a short life of 15 years.
