I see that the NYMR are thinking about converting Dear Dame Vera on to Oil ( be seeing you etc etc) pity they appear to have to go to an American Company, nothing wrong with the Hamworthy rotary burner which was not only fitted to land installations but as a backup burner on ship’s exhaust Gas Boilers.
I found them to be very reliable both at Sea and on Land, hopefully Dame Vera can be run cheaply after the initial Gas Oil start up on some of the “Emulsion” which sits at the bottom of the Cracking Towers which is presently difficult to get rid of.
