Beas - F137

Royal Indian Navy BEAS was completed by Vickers-Armstrongs (Shipbuilders) Ltd at High Walker in 1960 as YN 156.
She was based on a British Type 41 Air Defence frigate and served until converted to a traing role in 1980 and then broken up in 1992.
This is the first decent photo of her that I have seen in her original configuration.

I'm intrigued!!

As built she had Four Twin 4.5 inch Guns (Which are obvious) and Four 40mm AA in single mounts.

OR are they in a Quad mount aft of the Mast/Exhaust on the raised pedestal.

and if that's not a Quad Mount, what is it???

I undertood that they had a twin 40mm and a single 44mm as well. The twin was in a STAAG mounting which would account for its size in the photo.
