Saturday, 6 July 1974. 50 years ago today. My first trip along the Manchester Ship Canal.
Organised by the Teesside Ship Society (Teesside Branch of the World Ship Society) as previous posts on NEM show that TEESMAN Mick and the late Albert Weller were among those on board.
I don't have a note of which Mersey ferry was running the trip, but we caught most of them almost as soon as we arrived.
(Reviewing my notebook 50 years later it may have been we were on board the EGREMONT)

WOODCHURCH, Birkenhead Corporation, 464gt, completed Philip & Son Ltd., Dartmouth, 5-1960
1960 WOODCHURCH - 2003 SNOWDROP (still in service)
