Smiths Dock

Postby Keelman » Sun Oct 13, 2013 11:40 am

A view taken from the bridge of an ore carrier during a visit in 1966 by members of the W.S.S.
I can't say which ship she is but have a notion that she was scandanavian owned.
Could it be a 'Clan' alongside?

Should be in "Seachest". I'll see if I've got the appropriate one.

From Sea Chest No. 25 - July 1966:
"On 23 June another group of members looked over the SARAH BOWATER lying strikebound at Howdon and two days later a party boarded the DISCOVERER, a bauxite carrier undergoing engine and bottom damage repairs in dry dock at North Shields"
