The first Eskwood had an interesting time during WW2 after being seized in a lightning raid by a Jersey based German Forces Raiding Party from a Port in France after D.Day as a result of information provided by escaped German P.O.W's who pinched a Landing Craft and sailed the Craft to the Channel Islands. At the time the Channel Island Garrisons were desperate for Food and Fuel, the Eskwood had a Cargo of Coal. Regards Ron@?
