It is indeed a shame, I don't suppose she fits in with the new portfolio of the re badged Museum at Hartlepool especially as she cannot be Drydocked. Changing a damaged "Spider Arm" on the Paddle Feathering Gear whilst afloat was a bit of a challenge when working off Planks trying to remove a rusted and slightly bent pin with a Flogging Hammer and trying to keep your balance
although better to fall in the water than hit the bottom of a Drydock
You may think wear a Lifejacket when doing the job whilst afloat, unfortunately the Lifejackets were the old Kapok filled B.O.T type ( Pre the Yellow and Blue "Victory" type ) which made you look as though you had a Chest like Jayne Mansfield
which was awkward to wear in the confines of the Paddle Box and the Paddle Gear itself
