Yes, 52 years have flown by since I noted the AYUTHIA (viewtopic.php?f=43&t=3900) in Middlesbrough Dock as ship sighting no. 1 in my notebook on the foggy morning of Saturday, 19 November 1960. For my now almost madatory anniversary outing I managed to fit in a quick whiz round, in between other tasks, of the Middlesbrough town centre berths to catch what was in sight. A bit cold and somewhat blustery but here is my anniversary haul.
FRISIUM at Wilton Engineering, Port Clarence. Now where have I seen her recently? - viewtopic.php?f=69&t=7337
NORTHUMBRIA, a former WW2 MFV, at her Riverside Fire Station berth in the lee of the Transporter Bridge. Somewhere I do have her full details, but not to hand unfortunately. She has been based on the Tees for many years now and used to be owned by Middlesbrough Education Department, but not sure of her present ownership. Looking spick and span for her 67+ years and for her first appearance on NEM:
EEMS SERVANT (9559602), Netherlands, 1862gt, completed Haiphong 5-2010. A new sighting for me at Bamlett's Wharf:
OSPREY FIGHTER (9438937), St Vincent and Grenadines, 318gt, completed Wuxi/Singapore 8-2007. Another first sighting, at Bex Quay in Middlesbrough Dock Cut:
And, finally, after her well documented travels (viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6912) just to be able to say I now have her on record, a distant shot of the MPI ADVENTURE back at Cargo Fleet: Ron
