My own level of interest in ships was in the doldrums for various reasons just around that time, so this was one I never saw, unfortunately. However, unless anyone knows better, I suspect this would be the last Liberty ship to visit the Tees? (There were at least two subsequent VICTORY ships that I know of.)

Co-incidentally, we had another long-standing Ship Society member at that time called John Ross. Wonder if Albert ever mentioned he had seen his former ship namesake to him?

Nice find, Ron.

By the time you get the Helmsman, an Officer and a Lookout into the Bridge it would be overcrowded.
The original Wheelhouse would have been one deck down.
