Kuwait Shipping were formed in 1965 and had UK Offices at Corn Exchange Building, Fenwick St, Liverpool.

United Arab Shipping Co. was formed in 1977 by the Governments of Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to acquire the shipping assets of Kuwait Shipping.
They continued to have offices in Liverpool but moved to Tithebarn Street. In September 1979 they had 61 vessels on the books.
