Middlesbrough Dock vista!

Part of the panoramic view of Middlesbrough Dock from the footbridge is clearly shown in this undated Albert Weller slide. It looks to be from the late 1960s as it shows the "yellow submarine" dock offices with which THPA replaced the previous magnificent BTDB office in Dock Street, just opposite the entrance to the footbridge.

Certainly Post 1966 which is when the HB Viva took to the roads.

Yes, as far as I recall it would be at least 1968-9 period before the old dock office closed.

Ah, the old Vauxhall Viva! My first true car in 1970 .... B registered from 1964 (so HA series, so the 'net tell me!)

Snap, my first one was an HA Viva as well, about the same time but I cannot remember the registration...
It was an orrible light green, but it got me around and took all the bashes..

I graduated to a Hillman Avenger when I was 21, but that was another story.

Yes I used to go and see Geoff Bell & John Peacock in those offices when we were doing cocoa.......
