Now this was a ship visit I did go on! I recollect that we went down one Sunday but, for some reason, could not go on board, and had to rearrange for a week later. This would, I think, have been on 29 June 1975.

I first saw her as the SUNDALE during 1966. As CROSS RIVER I saw her first in Middlesbrough Dock on 28 October 1973, but did not photograph her on that occasion. I then saw her in Tees Dock on 13 January 1974:
