Could also be viewed at Tyne/Tees Jetty near the Transporter they were smart vessels viewed from the Top of the “M” Bus on an early morning Ron@1, pity you had to get off two stops earlier
I often wondered what it was like in “our” H/Q whilst passing on the Bus, I suspected it would be like Ben Line Offices in Edinburgh judging by the outside, High Desks and Quill Pens.

Indeed I always associate Ben and also Glen boats with the wharves, I can't recall seeing any of them in the Dock in 'the old days'. You could see the stern of a Ben when walking down the road.
Whether or not Ron used a quill pen remains open for discussion. If he had a high desk and chair his feet would be hanging in the air
