Well if, according to Ron, Paul is young, and wearing shorts compared to some on this site I must be still in my pram.
Not that I am throwing my rattle out of it :lol:
Do not remember BLACKTHORN but certainly do remember her sister MAYTHORN which was a regular Monday loader at 17/18 staithes for Northern Ireland. Always bunkered before they sailed, crew and ship together. Ship at Commissioners and the crew in the Oddfellows, Steamboat or Dun Cow pubs. Sailing was always after 3 when the pubs sht. Aye no 24 hour drinking then
