This is one of Constants OTTINGE's but which one?

I'm leaning towards the 1918 built one by Wood Skinner which was originally named LORD RHONDDA but I cannot find a picture of the Grays 1940 built one to compare, any thoughts...............

The 1918 built one looks a very good match on Dave's Tynebuilt site but she's got a straight Stem and this one looks like she has a bit of a curve. BUT it probably the angle the picture was taken.

Correct Mr Hood this is the 1918 built, acquired by Constants in 1929 from Plisson Steam Navigation Co. Ltd and sold in 1938 to Stockwood, Rees & Co., Ltd Swansea. Did not realise you were frequenting the river in those days Paul

and the tug looks a good match for BOTHAL which was around till 1932.
I think I can just make out a bit of "curly stuff" at the bow and a short name.

Splendid picture of the BOTHAL Dave, looks like she has been taking the Harbour Commissioners on their jaunt around the harbour judging by all the 'Duts' on show and the official flag!

Wrecksite is ok up to a point but I never fully trust the information contained therein!

Suspect one of the gentleman on the port side front looks to be the harbour master. No I don't have that good eyesight he just looks to be in naval uniform
I agree with you Paul about wrecksite etc. Use them as a starting point and then DIY - detective it yourself
