Behind her is NORTH EARL, built on the Clyde by Charles Connell at Scotstoun as SCOTSTOUN for Falkland Shipowners. As NORTH EARL she was owned by Palmyra Cia Naviera SA under the Greek and Liberian flags before being broken up in 1977 at Gandia, Spain

For those of you not in the know Falkland Shipowners Ltd were part of the J & J Denholm Ltd., Group based at Greenock, Glasgow and Milburn House, Newcastle.

Other members of the group were The Denholm Line Steamers Ltd, St Andrews Shipping Co Ltd and Scottish Ore Carriers Ltd.

Ohh and the SCOTSTOUN was a 12,723 Gross Tanker.
