This 2009 Cosco Zhoushan bulker Yuan An Hai IMO 9446128 was built for Cosco shipping, the Chinese peoples or parties own government sponsored shipping line.
At 189 x 32 x 12 metres, 32957 GRT, 56957 DWT she and her sisters are quite compact, handy for both oceanic and coastal voyages.

She was 3 years old when her 2012 visit to the Tyne occured, improbable she will ever return as now sails with new owners, new port of registry, Monrovia, and crucially new name CL Aqaba, this occured in july 2023, now part of Chinaland shipping...with all and full credits to the copyright owner, Thanks, image from late 2025.

No doubt there are individuals who understand Chinese ship naming, this Yuan An Hai may mean deep sea or similar, if however we turn the clock back 82 years to 1934 there was a new steamer built by Swans yno 1456 named Hai Yuan...work the nomenclature out yourself.
