Lovely place Aberdeen or it was until Oil, my Wife was a native of Torry, I was up early for the Fish Market watching the 'Hard Nose' Trawlers jockeying for a Berth and then back round to Torry to watch the Trawlers replenish along with a bit of maintenance, I sailed on a Long Liner called the "Loch Kildonan" just the one trip, never again
. A quick walk to the Fort (I wonder what is under the mound) watching Port Movements and looking at low tide for any sign of the detritus of the Wartime Ball Bearing Runner which came to grief on the rocks.
Night time it was down to the Fun Fair to watch the "Wall of Death" riders perform.
Where did Aberdonians go for their Holidays?---------------------Scarborough, now with Oil wages, --------------Pre Covid, the Algarve playing Golf
Aberdeen was always an interesting Port for Ship spotting especially when the Royal Yacht steamed in.
