Edinburgh Castle

EDINBURGH CASTLE at the Walker OTP facility. Was this when she was to be renamed THE BIG RED BOAT II ? Uncle Kev will know I'm sure.

She was built in Italy as the EUGENIO C in 1966 and lasted till 2005 when she met her fate at Alang.

Here she is as THE BIG RED BOAT II at Bede Quay. That white colour on her sides is obviously a subtle shade of red. Sorry don't know the date of the photo. But taken from one of Paul's favourite spots.

Dave, That would be between middle of January and 20th February 2000.
This is her sailing from Cammell Laird, Hebburn yard 20th February 2000 at the ungodly time of 02:00 for the Bahamas.

And our intrepid reporter was there to record the event (and from inside the yard). Thanks Kevin.

Wasn't this the time when his home was a canvas sheet in the yard?
