The sign says 'Welcome to Redcar Wharf' :)

I shall not make any further comment! ;)

Redcar Ore Terminal (per PD Ports shipping reports)!

But, then again, I still call the furthermost upriver berth Billingham Oil Jetty, despite whatever it was renamed 30 years ago!!!! (Simon Storage Riverside Terminal!!)

The port map on the PD Ports website shows Redcar Bulk Terminal .... whereas the Tees Bay chart shows Corus (!!) Redcar Ore Terminal .... so take your pick! And if the current owners want to shorten it to Redcar Wharf, so be it!

I was more thinking that any visiting seafarer would take one look at the desolate state of the Wharf and make a suitable comment.

One of the berths at Blyth is nicknamed 'Siberia' for a very good reason. Its windy, Cold, Desolate, no Pubs anymore (Just the Club) and miles from any shops unless you can launch the rescue boat and nip across the River!
